Red City (The New Alchemists, 1)

Urban romantasy based in an alternate version of Los Angeles called Angel City. It’s a story that combines elements of Romeo and Juliet, Full Metal Alchemist, and The Godfather.

Lots of diverse representation you don’t see in many romantasy books, with the FMC being Chinese-American and the MMC being Indian.

There is a good amount of spice, but the story is the main focus.
